1. Who we are
UXGate (uxgate.org) is a place to practise UX design in Arabic and English. It is run by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS]. This policy explains what we keep about you, why we keep it, and how you control it.
2. What we collect
We keep only what the service needs:
- Your account: your name, your email, and how you sign in (email and password, an email link, Google or Apple). We never see your Google or Apple password.
- Your learning: your answers, attempts, hints used, XP, goal, streak and freezes, skill states, badges and certificates.
- Your settings: language, theme, daily goal, reminder time, sound, and your notification choices.
- What you send us: review requests on a step, the reason you give, and emails to support.
- Payments: your plan, its status and dates. Our payment providers handle your card; we never see or keep your full card number.
- Technical data: browser type, device type, language and time zone, and error reports. Error reports never include your name or email.
3. How we use it
We use your data to:
- run your lessons, save your progress and plan your reviews;
- send the reminders and emails you chose, and the account emails that keep your account safe;
- answer your support emails and review requests;
- improve lessons using answer counts that don’t name you, for example how many people picked each choice;
- keep UXGate safe and working, for example by stopping abuse and fixing errors.
4. What we never do
We never show ads and never use advertising trackers. We never sell your data or share it for advertising. Our analytics count visits without third-party cookies.
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies the service needs: one to keep you signed in, and small ones that remember your language and theme. There are no advertising or social media cookies, so there is nothing to accept or refuse.
6. Who else handles it
These services run parts of UXGate for us. Each one gets only what its job needs, and may use it only for that job:
- Supabase: database and sign-in, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Vercel: website hosting, in its Frankfurt region.
- Resend: sending our emails.
- Bunny Stream: playing lesson videos.
- Sentry: error reports, without your name or email.
- Paymob (in Egypt) and Paddle (elsewhere): payments.
- Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them.
7. What other people can see
Your profile is private. Two things are off until you turn them on in Settings:
- Achievement page: visitors see your name, your path, your skills Shown and the date. Never your email, answers or mistakes.
- Leaderboard: other learners see your name and your XP this week.
- Certificate links: anyone with the link can check that the certificate is real.
8. Your choices and rights
- See and download all your data as one JSON file from Settings.
- Correct your name and email in Settings.
- Turn off any notification, the achievement page or the leaderboard at any time.
- Delete your account from Settings. We remove your personal data within 30 days. Sign in before then to undo.
- Ask us any question about your data, or object to how we use it, at support@uxgate.org. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. After you delete it, your personal data is removed within 30 days. We keep payment records for as long as tax law requires ([PERIOD]). Backups are deleted on a rolling basis within [N] days.
10. How we protect it
Every connection uses HTTPS. Our providers encrypt stored data. Your sign-in session cookie can’t be read by page scripts. Only a few team members can reach learner data, and only to run the service or answer you.
11. Age
UXGate is for people aged [MINIMUM AGE] or older. If you think a younger child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change something important, we tell you by email before it applies. The date at the top shows the last change.
13. Contact us
Write to support@uxgate.org. A person reads every email.
